Fulbright Student Programs
What is Fulbright?
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides 1-year, fully funded grants for graduating seniors, recent graduates, graduate students, and young professionals to conduct individually designed research projects, enroll in graduate school, or teach English abroad.
Applicants for Academic Study/Research programs design their own projects and typically work with an adviser at foreign university or other institute of higher education. These awards are available in approximately 140 countries. Be sure to explore the program summary for the country you are interested in because program requirements vary by country.
Applicants for Creative & Performing Arts Study/Research programs design their own projects and typically work with an adviser at foreign university or other institute of higher education. Creative and performing arts applicants are required to submit supplementary materials based on their disciplines. These awards are available in approximately 140 countries. The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level. Applicants for ETA Programs can apply to only one country.
