Dear Students,

Welcome to 2026 and a new year of discovery, growth and opportunity at Texas Woman’s University! Whether you are just beginning your journey with us or returning to continue forging your path, I am delighted to welcome you to what promises to be an exciting and productive year.

This year is particularly special as we celebrate the 125th anniversary of Texas Woman’s University’s founding – a remarkable milestone in our history. Since our beginnings in 1901, TWU has grown from a small teacher training college into a vibrant, comprehensive university rooted in a legacy of excellence, inclusivity and innovation.

As the largest and most diverse college at TWU, the College of Arts & Sciences continues to be a place where curiosity thrives, creativity is nurtured and bold ideas come to life. Across the arts, sciences and humanities and at the intersections among them, you will find opportunities to challenge yourself, explore new interests and expand your horizons.

In 2026, we encourage you to engage fully in the many academic and co-curricular experiences available, to seek out new connections and to pursue your goals with purpose and resilience. Whether through research, performance, service or scholarship, your contributions help shape our community and fuel our shared success.

Thank you for being part of the TWU community.
